The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) education resource has developed an entry – level (Basic) training product to meet the educational needs of emerging facility management professionals in the global FM markets. The program is grounded in the basic concepts that describe the field of facility management and addresses how those concepts can be of value to an organization.

The Fundamentals of Facility Management (FM) Training is an entry level program aimed at equipping the young FM practitioners with the right skills set needed to improve workplace productivity. In this training, we will explore Facility Management (FM) practice and discuss how attendees can successfully transition from their graduate degree to becoming a Facility Management Professional, enhance their service delivery, processes and resources, leverage the fundamental technical experience and skills they already know.

CFM is a competence based exam that tests you on the 11 competencies identified by IFMA after conducting a Global Job Task Analysis/Survey. For a candidate to be certified, he must demonstrate competence in all eleven competencies at a very high level.
